Heidi L. Snyder is a Partner with the Firm and has been practicing in the field of immigration and nationality law since 1997. Ms. Snyder’s practice is concentrated in business immigration, with particular emphasis on working with multinational corporations, small businesses, start-ups, non-profit organizations, hospitals, universities, architectural firms and design firms. She has extensive experience handling nonimmigrant visa petitions such as H-1B and L-1 petitions, including Blanket L petitions and New Office L petitions. She regularly advises on short-term visa options for visitors, as well as visa options and strategies for investors, entrepreneurs and companies seeking to expand into the U.S. market. In addition to nonimmigrant visa cases, Ms. Snyder handles a high volume of PERM-based permanent residence cases and also has significant experience with permanent residence cases for executives and managers. She regularly advises employers on issues relating to worksite compliance, including I-9 compliance and unauthorized employment, and has represented employers in H-1B audits by the Department of Labor’s Wage and Hour Division, and in I-9 self-audits. She also consults with clients on matters relating to corporate restructuring and due diligence in mergers and acquisitions, as well as immigration program support and training.

Ms. Snyder is a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA). She has contributed to a Massachusetts Continuing Legal Education (MCLE) publication on the topic of Immigrant and Nonimmigrant Visa Options for Foreign Nurses, and has made several presentations on business immigration law topics, including for MCLE. Ms. Snyder is listed in The Best Lawyers in America and was named by Super Lawyers Magazine as a Massachusetts Super Lawyers Rising Star in the field of immigration law for three years. She is licensed to practice law in Massachusetts.

PAUL R. KAZARNOVSKYEmail   

Paul Kazarnovsky is a Partner with the Firm. His practice focuses on business immigration. Mr. Kazarnovsky counsels employers and employees on various nonimmigrant and immigrant processes, including PERM labor certification applications, I-140 immigrant visa petitions, H-1B specialty occupation petitions, E-2 visa applications for treaty investors, and O-1 petitions for individuals with extraordinary ability, among others.  He also contributes to the family-based immigration practice, including immediate relative cases, and handles naturalization (citizenship) cases.

Mr. Kazarnovsky is an active member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA).  He earned his J.D. from Boston College Law School and is licensed to practice law in Massachusetts.

 
Ghenwa Hakim is an Associate with the Firm and has been practicing in the field of immigration and nationality law since 2011. Her current practice is focused in the field of business immigration. She has extensive experience working with universities and hospitals and has worked on nonimmigrant and immigrant work visas with a focus on visas for researchers and scientists, healthcare providers, and teaching faculty.
 
Ghenwa previously worked at a large university where she was responsible for full service immigration affairs and compliance. She has also maintained a law practice where her work was focused in family-based immigration practice and naturalization cases.
 
Ms. Hakim is an active member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA). She earned her JD from Suffolk University Law School and is licensed to practice law in Massachusetts and New York. Ghenwa earned an MPH from Tufts University and currently holds a faculty appointment with Tufts where she teaches a course on global health and migration.

Cynthia Cano-Dreyer is an associate attorney with the firm and is a native Spanish speaker. She provides guidance on U.S. non-immigrant and immigrant visa matters. She has experience in H-1Bs, TNs, L-1s, E-3s, I-140s, Adjustment of Status, as well as outbound global visas. Cynthia began her business immigration career working in the immigration department for a sizeable multinational law firm before ultimately joining the RSST family.

Giving back has always been important to Cynthia, exemplified by her volunteering with the Kids in Need Defense (KIND). Most recently, she aided a minor to acquire the protection for Special Immigrant Juvenile Status (SIJS). Cynthia is a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA) and the Women’s Bar Association of Massachusetts. She earned her JD from Suffolk University Law School and is licensed to practice law in Massachusetts. She has a Master’s in National Security Affairs from Nova Southeastern University and a Bachelor’s in International Relations from Boston University.
